Interim Revenue Optimisation Manager (24H)
The primary role of the Revenue Optimisation Manager (ROM) is to maximize Planons' opportunity for revenue and profitability. In order to do that, the ROM is in charge of compiling and analyzing data to make decisions regarding revenue and profitability optimization tactics. The ROM is responsible for implementing these tactics across the global Planon organization and to ensure a companywide compliant application of rules and guidelines.
Revenue optimization aims to increase revenue and profitability at both existing and new Planon customers with smart pricing strategies, well thought through legal terms and conditions, clear pricing and authorization policies, and creating a companywide awareness of revenue optimization impacts and its importance. Revenue optimization relates to software and maintenance contract revenue, recurring saas and cloud revenue, services revenue, revenue from 3rd parties (partners), and adjacent revenues like travel and accommodation.
In a close collaboration with the Planon Business Areas, the ROM continuously analyses data and open sales opportunities to avoid revenue leaks and to maximize revenue potential. The ROM has a proactive attitude towards sales and account managers in deal support and plays a key role in the opportunity validation and discount authorization process.
The ROM works together with the Planon Solution Centers, including Planon Partnering Department, to continuously optimize pricing strategy, product packaging and product pricing. In collaboration with Planon Legal Department, the ROM determines and implements terms and conditions, like indexations and pricing adjustments, that contribute to optimization of revenue and profitability.
As Revenue Optimisation manager, your responsibilities will include, among other things, the following tasks:
- Financial and/or legal background with excellent data analytics skills
- 5-10 years of experience in pricing and revenue optimization in B2B software
- You are structured, accurate and fact driven
- You have an commercial attitude combined with a creative business acumen
- You have the ability to support and challenge sales and account mangers on revenue optimization
- You act persistent, convincing and decisively
Your analytical skills are second to none, and your mind is set on the ultimate goal - profitability. This combination is necessary in order to understand and manage loads of – even sometimes opposing - information from the surrounding organization. You love to delve into the data, and you know how to determine what is of most importance. You don’t get lost in the detail – but can use the data to get an overview, come to a quick decision and make valuable recommendations.
Finally, you are energetic and hard-working and excellent at building relations and influencing your key stakeholders.
